Happy to get the news that a short poem I submitted way back in December 2015 was accepted for publication in the next edition of The Bastille. The launch is scheduled for May, so that ought to mean I can find a copy for sale at Shakespeare & Co. bookstore when we pass through Paris this summer. Yay!
The following was published in The Bastille: Interesting Times.
The editors at The Bastille: Interesting Times are running a second printing of the book, and they’re holding a second launch party at one of the weekly Spoken Word events to celebrate. Contributors have been invited to read from their work. I wish I could be there, but it’s in Paris and I’m home in Chicago.
I was fortunate to be in the area for the original launch party, and photos are available online.
The “scene” there in Paris is really great – artists mingle at weekly events, and everyone seems open to collaboration.
I have an excerpt from a story in this publication. You can find a copy, as these two did, prominently displayed at the entrance to the historic Shakespeare & Co. bookstore in Paris.
Here’s how to get a copy without the plane ticket…
